Unlike most cloud solutions when you use BasePlate you have a database that has been created and dedicated to you and you alone. This has two advantages. The first is that you don't get 'data leakage' where other's data accidently appears in your screens or vice versa your data appears in their screens. Secondly an export of the database takes a matter of minutes (depending on the size) as we don't have to remove slices of the database but instead we simply export the entire lot. |
Like your internet banking all data that is transferred between your local computer and the central cloud storage solution is completed using 256 bit encryption meaning that you can rest easy that your data is secure. |

The next level of security is in the actual BasePlate application itself. Users must enter a username and password in order to log into BasePlate itself and once in permission groups control what actions that are able to do within the system. |
Given that we were born and developed in the financial services industry tracking what users are doing is extremely important from a compliance view point. The advantage is that we track and place in an audit trail with timestamps all intering, updating and deleting of data. This is able to then be viewed by administrators and rolled back if required. |
